Xiaoyi Zeng, Postdoctoral researcher

I am a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Biodiversity and Environmental Change Lab at the University of Hong Kong. My research focuses on soil biodiversity under forest succession, invertebrate ecosystem functioning under global change, and the role of soil organisms in plant development. I am currently studying the roles of soil invertebrates and microbes in litter decomposition and plant nitrogen assimilation in Hong Kong’s secondary forests, quantifying their effects using stable isotope tracing, environmental DNA, and meta-analysis.
